INPIPECO e.V. established by members of the pipeline industry

Gilching, 31st May 2007: Members and experts of the pipeline industry gathered to establish INPIPECO e.V. at the Anwendungszentrum Oberpfaffenhofen. INPIPECO started in March 2006 as an result of the conference PIPESPEC 2006 in Amsterdam for setting up an alignment of the members of the pipeline industry. Now the members of the inititative founded an association to further intensify collaboration and dynamics of development  and to initiate innovation projects for pipeline planning, construction and operation or other related technologies. INPIPECO´s idea is to support innovation ideas for implementation, to support the finding of solutions for demands, to support innovative networks as well by integrating know-how from experts and partners of high tech industries. The choice of the location at the Anwendungszentrum Oberpfaffenhofen shall support the technology transfer from high tech industries, e.g. aero space or others. First successful implementations regarding the use of satellite related technologies for pipeline planning have already been achieved by members of INPIPECO. The association ist supported by considerable companies from pipeline industry. The first president of INPIPECO is Mr. Edward J. Klaymar, CEO of KNI Dynapad GmbH in Munich. “Now the time for effective implementation of innovative ideas in pipline construction has started” he stated in his inaugural speech.
